Critiques
I love this picture, great use of contrast. Well unified by limiting negative space. The balance is perfect and the focal point is perfectly within the center third of the picture. Great movement through the shape form and colour. The texture creates an interesting pattern.
The Bad:
Normally in my critiques I would say what is not as successful artistically in the piece. I have nary a thing to say. If I HAD to say something I would say that the green polka dot button is a little to prominent, maybe if it was a bit smaller, though it does create movement to the focal point so it definatley need to be there a little bit.
Vision:
This is the first piece I have critiqued that has a clear vision; not only that, but I like the message this photograph is trying to convey. I see it as, love what you love, kind of like a be true to yourself thing. Maybe I am wrong but I love the happy mood it creates
Originality:
Sometimes I find conceptual photography pretentious. This work happens to be what I consider fairly original, and well thought out and planned. Pins can be kind of trite, thus the four stars, but they are well pulled off here not to loud or distracting.
Technique:
This is an AMAZING exposure and the area of focus is beyond perfect. I very well pulled off macro shot. It was well set up and gives a great feeling of depth to the work.
Impact:
This piece is not what I consider forgettable, well done and I think, if this deviant got a bit more exposure, it could be a break away piece. I think it does stand out in a sea of poor macro photography.
Didn't Read:
95% Great job, I struggled to find one thing I didn't like about it. Great piece on the whole. Worth a favourite.
